Back to School Bash School Supplies Giveaway

Kukui Grove Center, Department of Education Kauai Complex and Hawaii Food Service Alliance invite you to this year’s Back to School Bash School Supplies Giveaway on Saturday, July 16th hosted by a team of community sponsors!

This year will return to an in-person format, with pre-registration for Elementary (K-5) and Middle School/High School (6-12) backpacks starting on Wednesday, July 6th at 9am. The day of the event will feature entertainment, educational non profit resources, and a Passport to Fun with activities for kids and families, with the grand prize contributed by the Royal Sonesta Resort Kauai!

Schedule of Events

9:15am Wristband tables open for Preregistered students
– Backpack distribution begins at 9:30am
– Pickup area requires wristbands until 2:00pm
9:30am Centerwide Activities Open
– “Passport to Fun” open to all students (no wristband required)

9:40pm Ho’ola Lahui Free Vaccine Clinic opens
(Nawiliwili Parking Lot, for ages 5 and up)
9:50am Showtime Character Walk-Around
10:15am Welcome by Kukui Grove Center & Sponsor Mahalo
10:30am Tsunami Taiko
11:00am Showtime Character Balloons

11:15am Healani Hula Halau with Aunty Bev Muraoka
Noon Hawaii Children’s Theatre Performs on Stage
12:20pm Premier Martial Arts Demonstration
12:30pm Vaccine Clinic Closes

1:45pm Activity Passport Prize Drawing — Grand Prize

School Supplies Giveaway
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Pre-registered students are guaranteed a bag at the event and are requested to come at their designated time.
Non registered students are invited to enjoy the “Passport to Fun” activities throughout the day, and there will be a limited number of non registered bags on a first-come, first serve basis. Unclaimed bags will be distributed at the close of the event to students present.
